Moto’s Play line of smartphones have always been a mid-tier offering that strikes a balance between the flagship and the budget smartphones. The Moto Z3 Play is expected to be released very soon and hence it’s not a surprise that some of the specifications including some key information have leaked on FCC.
According to the listing, the Moto Z3 Play will sport a large 6.1-inch display. While the resolution is unknown at the moment, we can expect a tall 18:9 IPS LCD panel. It will be reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 636 SoC, which is an octa-core SoC clocked in at 1.8GHz. This is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of on-board storage. The internal improvements seem solid as the Snapdragon 636 SoC is a major improvement over the Snapdragon 626 SoC.
Talking camera’s, the smartphone will reportedly feature a dual-camera setup at the rear consisting of a 12MP primary sensor backed up by an 8MP lens. This will be backed up by a 5MP selfie shooter.
It is a certainty that the Moto Z3 Play will run on Android Oreo and the battery capacity will be unchanged at 3000mAh. Other details include a pin connector for attaching various Moto Mods and several renders have pointed out in the direction of the removal of the headphone jack. This shouldn’t come as a surprise given the fact that very few companies continue to provide one in their handsets these days.
There is no information of the price and availability of the Moto Z3 Play. Stay tuned for more!
