The Chinese manufacturer Huawei released the Android 9.0 Pie based EMUI 9.0 update for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro device. The OTA update is now rolling out to devices and will be available through batches. However, some leaks mentioned that the update will be announced on the day of the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro launch. But the EMUI 9.0 OTA update is rolling out to Huawei Mate 10 Pro handsets from two days ago on October 1st this year.

The latest Android 9.0 Pie by Google already officially released for so many Android devices like OnePlus, Xiaomi, Google Pixel, Nokia, Android One devices, Essential Phone etc. Now the Huawei getting into the list as well. Some of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro users already claimed that they received an OTA update recently. So, the rest of the devices will get the update within a few weeks expectedly. The BLA-L09 and BLA-L29 codenamed Huawei devices are getting this update quickly. So, if you’re using one of these devices then check the update availability manually.

The previous reports are confirmed that the EMUI 9.0 update will improve the overall device performance, newly redesigned Android Pie UI, recent tabs, swipe gesture navigation, new system menu UI, improved notification toggle etc. While some of the Huawei’s own customizations like GPU Turbo, Huawei Super Charge technology, AI dual camera features etc. are also in the list. The company now introduced GPU Turbo 2.0 edition for more better gaming experience for longer gameplay without overheating and frame drops.
The new EMUI 9.0 also brings the improved and latest security patch version, new volume slider style, AI enhancement for better battery life etc. However, the Android 9.0 Pie most unique feature called Digital Wellbeing app doesn’t available for all devices but users can download it via Google Play Store for free and can control their addictive activity.
