Now that the latest version of Android has been released by Google and the update is already running on the Google Pixel as well as Nexus devices around the world, it is also expected that some of the Android manufacturers around the world to start the work on the latest version of Android, Android 8.0 Oreo is Huawei. We have seen some screenshots of EMUI 6 update coming to a Huawei device which brings the latest version of Android on that device. As far as the development of the next version of Android is concerned, many other manufacturers should also start porting their devices to Android Oreo.
However, you should not expect the update to come to your device anytime soon as this may be the version of Android on to of EMUI that is being tested internally by the company so that they can know whether there are any bugs when it is run on a test device or it could also mean that the development is in advanced stages but there is always some time that goes into update certification and other things like the Google certification that is needed for each and every update by all the manufacturers.
Now, we have also known that the Huawei device running the latest version of Android is the Huawei Mate 10. One thing to note here is that the Huawei Mate 10 has not been released yet and the company just announced yesterday that the device will be officially unveiled on October 16. This goes in line with the source which says that the Huawei Mate 10 will come with EMUI 6 based on Android 8.0 Oreo. If this turns out to be true that the Huawei Mate 10 will become among the very few devices to come out with Android 8.0 Oreo as the Google Pixel 2 series is expected to launch on October 5 with Android 8.0.1 Oreo.
