The Finnish smartphone manufacturing company HMD Global is all set to launch the Nokia 8.1 device in India on December 10 this year. The handset was previously launched in China and was scheduled to announce on Dec 6 but the date is now changed officially. HMD Global now sending press invites for the device launch in India on 10th Dec 2018. It’s expected that the Chinese variant Nokia X7 will be rebranded as Nokia 8.1 globally. This year seems to be very successful and busy for the Nokia brand. The company already launched so many back to back Android One powered stock Android devices this year.

Nokia 8.1 Specifications
Recently, HMD Global unveiled Nokia 7.1 on Nov 29 and now the company is ready to unveil the premium-mid-range device with a notch display, and dual rear camera set up. The Nokia 8.1 device comes with a 6.18-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels. The handset is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC coupled with 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB variant. The Chinese variant runs on Android 8.1 Oreo but the global variant could run on Android 9 Pie with Android One platform out-of-the-box. It packs a dual rear 12MP+13MP sensor and a 20MP selfie shooter.
All the necessary connectivity and sensors will be available in this device. The handset will be packed with a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging support. The standard Nokia earphones also included in the box.

With this launch, all the wait should over. As Nokia could announce the most anticipated Nokia 9 with Penta-lens camera by the end of this year or early 2019. Till then stay tuned for info.
