Samsung first unveiled the Now Brief feature with One UI 7. The Now Brief feature gives you a daily snapshot of your weather, calendar events, and screen time reports.
It ships with the Galaxy S25 and One UI 7. But thanks to developer community, you can add it to Galaxy S24 and S23 series with a simple tweak.
This guide shows you how to activate it step by step.
Steps to enable “Now Brief” on Galaxy S24 and S23 series

You must enable developer options before you start.
Open Settings and tap About phone. Tap Software information. Tap Build number seven times until you see “Developer mode turned on.”
Go back to Settings. Tap Developer options. Turn on Wireless debugging. You may need to allow it on your Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: You must install the required apps.
- Shizuku from Google Play.
- AOD.apk (optional) to add Now Brief to your lock screen.
- Personal Data Intelligence.apk from a trusted source.
- Root Activity Launcher.apk for hidden menus.

Step 2: Set up and start Shizuku
- Open the Shizuku app.
- Tap Pair device with pairing code.
- Enter the code shown in the Wireless debugging notification.
- Return to Shizuku and tap Start.
Step 3: Authorize and Launch the Hidden Settings
Now you’ll use the Root Activity Launcher to enable the core functions:
- In the Shizuku app, go to the Authorized applications section and grant permission to Root Activity Launcher.
- Open the Root Activity Launcher app.
- Search for “Personal Data Intelligence.”
- Find the activity named DeveloperModeActivity and launch it.
- Inside this hidden menu, turn on the main toggle at the top and also enable the Enable Personal Data Engine option.
You can add and view the Now Brief widget.
Long-press your home screen and choose Widgets. Find the Now Brief widget and add it. Open Settings > Galaxy AI > Now Brief to customize cards. If you installed AOD.apk, go to Lock screen and AOD settings and enable Now bar to see briefs on your lock screen.
