Samsung has recently launched the Galaxy S8 as well as Galaxy S8+ smartphones in the US as well as around the world including India. The Galaxy S8’s are the latest smartphones from the company after the last year’s Galaxy S7 which were the flagship Samsung phones for last year. Now, we have already known that the Galaxy S7 along with the Galaxy S8 as well as Note 5 have already received the June security patch which was released on June 5 by Google. However, the Galaxy S7 on the AT&T network was left out of the update to the latest security patch.
Although, now, the Galaxy S7 on the AT&T network is also receiving the latest security patch for the month of June on the device. As far as the new update is concerned, the OTA will arrive on your phone as build number G930AUCU4BQF3. Apart from the June security patch, the update also includes bug fixes and stability improvements. In addition, fixes for a few other issues are also bundled with the update which includes calendar fixes, Samsung Knox fixes, and Messaging fixes. The update also brings improvements for video calling feature. One thing to note is that however the update only contains June security patch, the update size is very big at 250MB so make sure to have a WiFi connection for downloading the update.
Apart from the changelog, one thing to remember about the update is the OTA has been released by AT&T to all the Galaxy S7 devices and the update should reach your device soon. Make sure to check if your device has received the update by checking for it in the device’s settings page. Also, remember to charge your device properly before starting the installation process of the update as it may take some time to be installed.
