HTC is having a tough time in the smartphone industry at the moment. That doesn’t deny the fact that HTC is one of the best smartphone manufactures with great software support. Starting today, February 12, HTC 10 users on Sprint can update to Android 8.0 Oreo.
HTC’s Vice President of Product Management, Mo Versi announced the news on Twitter. It is worthy to note that the unlocked variant of the HTC 10 received the Oreo update about a month ago.

Recollecting, HTC 10 was the companies flagship smartphone a coupled of years ago. It was a fantastic device and was solid by 2016 standards.
Android Oreo brings a slew of features to the table including Picture-in-Picture support, AutoFill API for easier logins, Notification dots, App shortcuts, refreshed emojis, Smart-text selection and more. The battery life may get a slight bump given the battery optimisations Oreo brings to the table.
The software update may weigh substantially and hence we recommend updating over Wi-Fi to save some mobile data.
