Android O which is the next version of Android has been gathering quite the news as the days of its release are coming near and near. Google [romised the release of Android O in the month of August or September as the timeline for the update was mid of Q3. Now, we have already seen that a near final build of Android O has already been released for the Pixel and Nexus devices and the company has also mentioned that the final release build will come soon. As far as Android O is concerned, it is the next version of Android after Android 7.0 (and 7.1.1) which will be numbered as Android 8.0 and this has been confirmed by the build number that has been found in the Android O Developer Preview 4.
Now, the popular leaker most famously known for revealing the smartphones from all the companies before hand, Evan Blass is at it again. This time he has revealed the date of the launch of next version of Android. This version is the Android 8.0 O and the date of the launch of Android O is set for August 21. Now, it is interesting to note that August 21 is also the date for the Full Solar Eclipse and this will be visible in the whole US region apart from many other countries.
This news was tweeted by Evan Blass from his twitter handle @evleaks and he has also mentioned that the naming of Android O will also be revealed on the same day. Now, do note that the launch of the next version of Android has already been delayed by Google and it was supposed to happen in the first week of August but it was pushed to a later date so we should take this date with a pinch of salt.
