The Honor Magic 2 is the latest flagship device from the sub-brand of Huawei. The device has launched on October 31 at an event in Beijing, China. The handset is packed with a lot of flagship hardware specifications and features as well. This one is the third Huawei device after Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro which is powered by Kirin 980 SoC.
Honor Magic 2 Specifications
The Honor Magic 2 is powered by a 7nm process based octa-core Kirin 980 chipset paired with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB internal storage. It has a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. Honor claimed that this has a 91.5 percent screen-to-body ratio which is quite good enough. The display also has an In-Display Fingerprint sensor for unlocking the device and do some secure payments as well.
The Honor Magic 2 has a triple rear camera set up of a 16MP primary RGB sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a secondary 24MP monochrome sensor with f/1.8 aperture, and a third 16MP super wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens. The rear cameras packed with some much pro features like auto HDR, Panorama, PDAF, scene recognition, night mode with wide-angle, studio-level 3D portrait mode, LED flash, AI, AIS for stabilization, and slow-motion video recording up to 480fps.

The handset also features a dual front camera with a slider which also has a 3D IR Face Unlock. It has a 16MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP camera with f/2.4 for depth-sensing effect. The Honor Magic 2 supports 40W fast charging which is called “Magic Charge”. It has a 3,400mAh battery which can be charged from 0-50% within 15 minutes.
Honor Magic 2 Connectivity and Features
This one is the world’s first device to support dual mode wireless projection technology which supports wireless PC mode as well just like the Huawei Mate 20 series. Magic 2 also includes dual GPS, up to 1.7Gbps of download speed, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB Type-C port. The phone also features an advanced AI assistant called “YOYO” which is quite similar to Google Duplex. The device is running on Android 9 Pie over Magic UI 2.0 custom skin out of the box.

Honor Magic 2 Price and Availability
The handset will be available in three colors such as Gradient Red, Gradient Blue, and Gradient Black. The 6GB+128GB model costs 3799 Yuan, 8GB+128GB model costs 4299 Yuan, and the 8GB+256GB variant will cost 4799 Yuan. The device pre-orders will start from today on Nov 1-5. The first sale will start from Nov 6 in China.
There is no confirmation about the Indian launch and price. We have to wait for that.
