The Digital Wellbeing feature is one of the most innovative and effective ways to get rid of smartphone usage addiction. It’s meant to control the users’ activity and time. The app dashboard simply shows all the used apps and activities with time which can be reduced. The user can set the app usage timer to pause the app whenever the timer runs out. This app was announced earlier this year by Google during I/O 2018 conference.
Digital Wellbeing Coming Soon To Android One Devices
This Digital Wellbeing app debut with the Android 9.0 Pie update and it works with Android Pie only as of now. The app is in beta mode and was available for Pixel devices only. But as the time goes, the app will be available for Nokia devices and now the reports mentioned that all the Android One powered devices will get it. This app dashboard will count all the read and unread notifications, device screen unlocks and more.
Currently, the Digital Wellbeing app is available on Google Play Store officially but your device should be running on Android Pie or Android One platform based Pie devices at least for now. Hopefully, in future Google will develop the app for Android Oreo or lower versions running devices as well.
