Meizu launched another upper mid-range powerful device in China called Meizu 16X. The company mentioned that the device is made for young generation which is simply beautiful yet powerful and advanced at an affordable price tag. The initial look and impression is quite premium in terms of the design and built quality. Meizu is known for different design and style than other brands and this time also they have done the same. The symmetrical design without notch display yet 90.62% of a screen-to-body ratio is simply awesome.
Meizu 16X Specifications
The Meizu 16X comes with an AMOLED display with In-Display Fingerprint sensor. The sensor response time is 0.25 sec with 99.12% recognition rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC clocked up to 2.2GHz coupled with Adreno 616 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The SDM710 chipset is based on the 10nm process with advanced AI options and power efficiency. The device does have the 64GB and 128GB internal storage variant.
The Meizu 16X sports a dual rear 12MP+12MP camera with Sony IMX380+Sony IMX350 sensors with 1.55µm large pixels, HDR, Portrait, OIS, and AI features. The advanced Spectra 250 ISP (Image Signal Processor) can deliver much better image results than the powerful SDM660 chip. Additionally, Meizu works with ArcSoft for camera algorithm improvements.
Though the battery isn’t that big, the 3,100mAh battery with fast charging support can last for a day easily due to the energy consumption rate of the processor. Because Meizu claims that the device battery is enough good to play King of Glory game continuously for 5.8 hours.
Meizu 16X Price and Availability
The device will be available in Jet Black, Noble Gold, and Ru White color option. The Meizu 16X handset price starts at 2098 Yuan (approx $306) for the 6GB+64GB model and 2398 Yuan for the 6GB+128GB (approx $350) variant. The handset will be available from official Meizu store on September 26 at 10:00 AM. However, you can buy it from October 10 via JD.com, Tmall, and Suning Tesco online stores. There isn’t any confirmation about the Indian availability.
