Sony has recently released the Sony Xperia XZ as well as the Sony Xperia XZ Premium in the market. The smartphone was first announced at the MWC in Barcelona this year. Now, a new Sony smartphone has been receiving a new update and the update is the latest Android version, the Android 7.0 Nougat.
This smartphone is the recently launched Xperia XA from Sony. The new update which upgrades the Sony Xperia XA is arriving with the build 33.3.A.0.127 the update seems to carry May security patch alongside the Nougat goodies. Also, the update is reportedly available to all the single and dual-SIM variants with model numbers: F3111, F3112, F3113, F3115, F3116. Once you install the update, you will get access to all the goodies that Nougat has in stores. For instance, you will be able to utilize the split screen mode for improved multitasking. There’s also the revamped notification shade and Settings menu. In addition, the Doze power saving mode has also be improved to offer you more battery life when needed. On top of these new features and enhancements, the Nougat update also brings improvements in performance and stability. The company has already started seeding the update to Xperia XA users over the air (OTA).
As far as the update is concerned, the Sony Xperia XA is getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update along with the May security patch which was released on May 1 by Google. The update should be arriving in your phone as soon as possible but just in case you haven’t received it yet, hit Settings > About Phone > Software Updates to check for the update manually.
