Huawei launched the latest smartphone in the Huawei Mate series which is also the flagship smartphone series from the company and the latest smartphones were named as the Huawei Mate 10 and the Mate 10 Pro. As far as the Mate 10 series is concerned, it is the latest series from Huawei after the company launched the Mate 9 series of smartphones last year. As far as the Huawei Mate 10 is concerned, the devices come with all the flagship specifications which are expected from a flagship smartphone from 2017. Also, the smartphone comes with dual camera setup and the cameras are powered by Leica as well.
However, one of the features that was seen on the flagship smartphones by the end of 2017 and on almost every smartphone that has been released in 2018 is the Face Unlock feature which was first seen on the Apple iPhone X and the feature was later picked up by OnePlus on its OnePlus 5T. Now, it is time that the Huawei Mate 10 also gets the Face Unlock feature and this has been done by the company via an OTA update which means that this feature has been added to its software same as all the Android devices rather than the hardware-backed Face Unlock on the iPhone X.

Now, talking about the latest update from Huawei for the Mate 10, the update comes with the build number B128-SP2 (8.0.0.128) and the highlight of this update is that it adds the Face Unlock feature to the Huawei Mate 10. As far as the update for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is concerned, the device will get the update soon too as it is the flagship device from Huawei. Talking about the release of the update, the OTA has arrived in the Chinese region at the moment and the rollout of this update is expected to happen soon in other regions also.
