Sony has been widely known for its electronics like the TV, Music Stations as well as their smartphones. Now, we have also known that the smartphone department from Sony is not doing comparatively well when compared to its other departments. However, the company has announced that it will continue to release new smartphones at least for the foreseeable future. As far as the smartphone launches are concerned, we have known that the Xperia lineup of devices is the flagship series from Sony and the Xperia XZ1 remains to be the flagship Sony smartphone from the company.
Now, the company has announced the latest smartphone in their flagship Xperia series and the smartphone has been named as the Xperia XZ2 which is the successor to the Xperia XZ1. Apart from that, the Xperia XZ2 also has a compact version which has been named as the Xperia XZ2 Compact. As far as the latest smartphones from Sony are concerned, the company has finally made the switch from 16:9 displays to the 18:9 displays which means that the smartphones also have narrower bezels on the top and bottom. Also, the traditional design of the Xperia smartphones has been changed by Sony this year from the box-like design to the rounded corners and a glass back which is highly reflective in nature.

As far as the Xperia XZ2’s design is concerned, it seems that the company has been heavily influenced by the HTC U11’s design as the same is evident from the smartphone’s design as well. The Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact have the same Snapdragon 845 processor as well as Full HD displays where the XZ2 has a 5.7-inch display and the XZ2 Compact has a 5-inch display. Also, the Xperia XZ2 series now supports 1080p slo-mo video recording which is better than Samsung Galaxy S9 series’ 720p recording.
