We have been seeing a trend from Samsung lately about the frequency of the company in releasing the latest updates. We have already seen the major smartphones from Samsung including the S8 and the S8 Plus have already received the Android Nougat update on their phones. Now, we have been getting reports about another smartphone from Samsung receiving the Android Nougat update. This phone is the Samsung Galaxy A3 which was released in 2016. We have been hearing rumors about the phone receiving update from March but the update is finally here.
First, the Nougat update was spotted on Wi-Fi Alliance followed by its presence on GFXBench, which clearly indicated that the Samsung would soon release Nougat for Galaxy A3 2016. Germany is the first country where Nougat update would come the Galaxy A3 2016 variant. The update has been released in Germany as per sources with the build number A310FXXU3CQE6. The Android Nougat update would bring many features such as Google’s own split-screen mode, improved Doze mode, Notification Direct Reply, Bundled Notifications and much more.
As far as the update is concerned, the Galaxy A3 2016 will get the Android 7.0 update Over-The-Air(OTA) and you will be notified about the same. It is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and since the update would weigh around 1 GB, make sure you have enough free storage. Further, keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent. You can also check for the update manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates. However, do note that the update is a firmware update and it may come larger in size so make sure that you are connected to stable Wifi connection whenever you get the update in order to ensure that you don’t get charged for overusing your mobile data.
