Samsung is going to take the covers off the Galaxy S9 series of smartphones which will be the latest series of flagship smartphones in the Samsung Galaxy S series after the company released Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ as their flagship Galaxy S series smartphones last year. Now, we have already known that much of the details of the Galaxy S9 have been already leaked and it is fair to say that we are just left to look at the phone. As far as the leaks are concerned, the Galaxy S9 Plus will have a dual camera setup and the Galaxy S9 will have a single camera.

Also, both the devices will have the bezel-less 18:9 aspect ratio screen with curved glass and will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and will include up to 6GB of RAM. However, we are already getting some details about the next flagship smartphone in the Galaxy S series even before the Galaxy S9 is released and this is the Galaxy S10, assuming that Samsung keeps the name of the smartphone same as the previous years. As far as the leak is concerned, the Galaxy S10 will be powered by the latest chipset from Qualcomm named as the Snapdragon 855 processor.
As far as Snapdragon 855 chipset is concerned, it will be based on the Snapdragon X24 LTE modem whereas the current Snapdragon 845 processor is powered by the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem. Now, the X24 LTE modem from Qualcomm gives up to 2Gbps downlink speeds which means that we are most likely to see true 5G on smartphones starting from next year and the Galaxy S10 could be the first smartphone to do so next year. Stay tuned to know more about the Galaxy S9 as it is expected to release at MWC later this month
