Xiaomi has launched the latest Redmi Note series smartphones from the company in India and the event was held earlier today. The launch of the latest smartphones in the Redmi Note series comes after the company launched the Redmi Note 4 last year which became the No. 1 selling smartphone in the country in its price range.
Now, as far as the launches from Xiaomi are concerned, the company launched the Redmi Note 5 which is the successor to Redmi Note 5. As far as the Redmi Note 5 is concerned, the smartphone is essentially same as the Redmi Note 4 as it has the same Snapdragon 625 processor and comes with up to 4GB of RAM.
The biggest change, however, is that the Redmi Note 5 series comes with an 18:9 Full HD+ display with much lesser bezels than the Redmi Note 5. Also, the company launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro which is a better version of the Redmi Note 5 with the same display size of 5.99-inch as the Redmi Note 5. However, the smartphone has a dual camera setup on the back with a design similar to the iPhone X. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor which is the latest mid-range processor from Qualcomm.

In addition to the smartphone launches, the company also launched the Mi TV 4K in the same event which is a 55-inch LED TV from Xiaomi available at Rs. 39999 in India. As far as the pricing of Redmi Note 5 series is concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 starts at Rs. 9999 for 3+32GB variant, Rs. 11999 for 4+64GB variant. The Redmi Note 5 Pro, on the other hand, is available at Rs. 13999 for 4+64GB variant and Rs. 16999 for 6+64GB variant. As far as the sale is concerned, the first sale for the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will take place on Flipkart at 12 PM IST on February 22.
