Moto G5S Plus has been launched recently and for the advanced users, TWRP recovery is also made available. Now, you can root your Moto G5S Plus and enhance its performance and available amazing features. Along with TWRP recovery, you have to use Magisk or SuperSU to gain superuser access on Moto G5S Plus. As a matter of fact, you can flash your device with LineageOS 15 ROM which is based Android 8.0 Oreo.

How To Install TWRP Recovery On Moto G5S Plus
Step 1. Download TWRP Recovery and Unzip on your computer and connect your phone to your PC via USB.
Step 2. Open Command Prompt from the TWRP Recovery folder by typing cmd into the address bar and hitting Enter key. Once the command prompt opens, make sure it is showing the complete folder address where the TWRP recovery file is stored.
Step 3. Reboot the device to bootloader/faster mode by typing the following in the command prompt.
adb reboot bootloader
Check your smartphone screen to see if it is asking for Allow USB Debugging. If so, accept it.
Step 4. Install TWRP recovery by typing the following on cmd.
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.1.1-sanders.img
You can root your Moto G5S Plus either by Magisk or SuperSU. Magisk has a better user interface and customization options. SuperSU is rather simple.

Step 1. Download Magisk ZIP and Magisk Manager APK and transfer them to your device.
Step 2. Boot your device into TWRP recovery mode and Allow System modification by Swiping when promoted.
Step 3. Select Install option on the screen and then select the Magisk ZIP file. Swipe to confirm Flash. Once done, select Reboot System option.
Step 4. Once the reboot is complete, open a File Manager app and select Magisk Manager APK file and install it.
After installing Magisk Manager app, you can check the root status of your device.

Step 1. Download SuperSU ZIP file and transfer it to your Moto G5S Plus.
Step 2. Boot your device into TWRP Recovery. Allow System modification by Swiping when promoted.
Step 3. Select Install option on the screen and then select the SuperSU ZIP file. Swipe to confirm Flash. Once flashing process is done, select Reboot System option.
Your device is rooted and you can install any custom ROM and enjoy Moto G5S Plus to its fullest potential.
