Nearly 32% of Android devices in the world run on Marshmallow while around 11.5% are using the latest Android Nougat 7.0 +. Android O which is the 8th version of Android with API level 26. Google has officially announced that it would be Android 8.0. The rumours have it that it would be called either called Oatmeal or Oreo. If you see the past trend, Google used cookies and candy brand names after collaborating with them.

Some experts are also suggesting names likes Orelletes, Ozark, Oliebol, and Ox-tongue. Anyhow, Android O is going to improve your battery life, boost performance and speed up booting time. It remains to be seen what other exciting features that it brings with it.
