Samsung had launched the Galaxy A5 and A7 devices in its mid-range smartphone category last year. The Galaxy A5 and A7 have been scheduled to be getting the Android Nougat update to their devices. However, the Nougat update for the devices had been delayed and the users of the device had been patiently waiting for the update. Now, Samsung has finally started rolling out the Android Nougat update to the mid-range device. However, the Android Nougat update on the Galaxy A5 as well as the Galaxy A7 is the Android 7.0 Nougat update and not the Android 7.1.1 update.
The new firmware updates arrive as build number A510FXX04CQE9 and A710FXXU2CQE3 for Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 2016 and bump up the OS to Android 7.0 Nougat. The update for A7 was initially rolled out in Asia and is now rolling out to other regions iteratively. The A5 variant, on the other hand, has updates rolling out in Mainland Europe and parts of Africa. There has been no news of the update in Asian regions while only South and South-East has received the update as of yet. However, do note that the update to the Android 7.0 Nougat from the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is a big update and not an incremental one so it will bring many new features to your Android device. In particular, the Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 will get native split-screen mode, Doze mode, revamped notification shade, and an improved Settings menu.

However, the Samsung Galaxy A5 & A7 devices have been rolled out by the company but the update may come to your device sooner or later as the update has been rolled out in a staged manner.
