As we all know that LG isn’t that good or fast enough to roll out software updates to its smartphones. Even the flagship-series devices also get updates lately. LG G7 ThinQ is one of them. LG currently rolling out the LG G7 ThinQ Android Pie update in the US. A few months, the update was rolled out to South Korea region for the LG G7 device. Though the LG G7 is an Android One-powered smartphone, LG has provided the update to both Verizon and Metro carrier users. The update is also rolling out in Europe country. As we already mentioned earlier that the Pie update will roll out in Q1 2019 to the LG G7 ThinQ devices. But it’s delayed.
The new Android 9.0 Pie update brings lots of customizations and features into the system. Such as Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Swipe Gesture, new notification panel, new recent UI, etc. It also brings app slices, app timer, improved privacy & security features, volume sliders, etc.

LG G7 ThinQ Pie Update Rolling Out
LG claimed previously that the Android 9 Pie update would be available for the G7 ThinQ during the first few months of 2019. But that only possible for the South Korea users, rest of the regions are still in waiting queue.
However, the update will roll out soon to all the regions via batches. you need to keep waiting for it. The update size is around 1.4GB. However, you can check out the OTA update on your device via device Settings > Software Updates. If the update is available on your device then you’re good to go. Otherwise, you may have to wait for a few weeks more to receive the OTA update notification.
