The Mi A1 was almost a perfect device for the budget smartphone market with a lot of positives including top notch hardware and stock software. And as promised, Xiaomi quickly rolled out the Android Oreo update to the Mi A1 and it was one of the first budget handsets to receive the update. However now, many users are complaining about various issues that has forced Xiaomi to halt the update temporarily.
The bugs are plenty in number and poses various problems like battery life issues, in-accurate fingerprint recognition and many more. A crazy bug froze the dialer app and the cause of this problem was the MyJio app!
Multiple users have complained about issues with their Mi A1 after updating to Android 8.0 Oreo. This is quite disappointing as the update had successfully completed the beta phase before the stable release.
The most widespread issues include abnormal battery drain, messed up notifications, app crashes, poor fingerprint recognition, mobile data freezes, issues with the dialer app, sound & navigation key issues and more. The list is huge and it is a surprise that almost every aspect of the Operating System has been affected.
