This year, we witnessed great budget smartphones and the Mi A1 is definitely at the top of the list. The Xiaomi Mi A1 is almost a complete package, especially taking the price into consideration. The Stock Android Experience is just the tip of the iceberg and the Oreo beta build for the Mi A1 is now active.
Its been over a week since the inception of the open beta program and it brings several new Oreo features as expected. But guess what, thats not all! The Mi A1 has reportedly gained support for Fast Charging. It is worthy to note that the smartphone comes with a 3300mAh battery and USB Type C out-of-the box.
According to a Mi A1 user, the device charged from 0% to 100% in just 92 minutes right after updating to the Oreo build. He also claims that it usually takes at least half-an-hour more.
Mi A1 users will be happy to hear that the update also brings improvements to the performance. The app load times seem to have been improved and the animations are a tad faster.
Although the update is extremely enticing, we have to keep in mind that it is still in beta. Therefore, expect the build to have a lot of bugs and hence it is not recommended for everyone. We would recommend you wait for the stable update to roll out, which is expected to be sometime in January 2018.
