Xiaomi has recently launched the latest smartphones in the Xiaomi Redmi Note series which became a huge success story for the company last year with the launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, the smartphone that eventually became the best selling smartphone in India in 2017. As far as the Xiaomi Redmi Note series is concerned, we have now entered the fifth-generation of this series and the latest smartphones are named as the Redmi Note 5 and the Redmi Note 5 Pro. As far as the smartphone launch is concerned, Xiaomi has already launched the smartphone in India and many flash sales have already been organized for both the smartphones.
Now, it was already expected that Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 5 in China and same is the case now as the company has launched the Indian Redmi Note 5 Pro in China named as the Redmi Note 5(AI Dual Camera). The Redmi Note 5 in China has a dual camera setup same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro Indian variant. However, Redmi Note 5 in China comes with Android 8.1 Oreo along with Project Reble support whereas the Redmi Note 5 Pro has been launched with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and MIUI 9.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Redmi Note 5(AI Dual Camera) comes with 5.99-inch Full HD+ screen along with 18:9 aspect ratio display same as the Redmi Note 5 Pro. Also, the device has Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset along with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Other difference is that the Redmi Note 5 Chinese variant comes with USB Type-C as well as official Quick Charge 3.0 support which is not present on the Redmi Note 5 Pro. The Redmi Note 5 is priced at RMB 1099 in China for the 3GB RAM version whereas the price goes up to RMB 1699 for the 6GB RAM variant which also comes with 64GB internal storage.
