BlackBerry released the latest flagship smartphone from the company which is the BlackBerry KeyOne. However, the company also released a new smartphone for last year which was the BlackBerry Priv. The company made a comeback in 2015 by releasing the BlackBerry Dtek50 and then the company has been releasing at least 2 smartphones every year. Earlier, BlackBerry was known for its safety and reliability in their feature phones. Now, the BlackBerry smartphones come with Android OS which was not the case in earlier years but the company has promised that it will guarantee security on their phones.
BlackBerry was also helped by Google indirectly as the company started to release the monthly security patch updates around the same time as the BlackBerry phones were released. Now, BlackBerry has been the first, as promised, to release the monthly security patches and the June security patch is rolling out to the BlackBerry Priv as we speak. The update, however, is rolled out by the US carrier, Verizon. The June security patch arrives with the build number AAL748 and weighs 126.7 MB. To recall, the previous update that arrived in May had version number AAL425 and the one that arrived before that came with build number AAK687.
As far as the update is concerned, the users of the BlackBerry Priv should expect the update to come with various security vulnerabilities and should bring along fixes to existing bugs. Also, the update should bring performance and stability improvements to the BlackBerry Priv. Also, the update has been released by Verizon to all the BlackBerry Priv smartphones on their network so the smartphones should be receiving the update as soon as possible. Also, as the update arrives in your smartphone, there will be a notification in your smartphones so that you can download and install the update to your phone.
