LG recently launched the LG V20 after the resounding success of the LG V10. For a recap, the LG V10 was launched by the company being the first smartphone to be having a secondary display also called as the ticker display. This smartphone was launched by the company as an experiment after the LG G5’s failure. The LG V10 got great response and the company released its sucessor as well which is the LG V20. The LG V20 has some refinements over the LG V10 and is totally different from the LG G series. Now, we are hearing from the users of LG V20 on the T-Mobile network that the phone is getting an update.
On further inspection, the LG V20 is currently receiving the latest monthly security patch from T-Mobile. This is the third update from the carrier with the previous update going by H91810j. The latest update, which is arriving as OTA, goes by software version H91810k and includes a bunch of secondary fixes in addition to installing the latest security patch.
The update resolves an issue on the e911 timer and also improves overall system performance through minor tweaks and other under-the-hood enhancements. All of these changes put together, shall provide a much more fluid user experience.
Moreover we have also known that the LG G Stylo is also receiving a new update from T-Mobile coming in as build H63120o. Your device will need to be on software version H63120K to receive the update. Unlike the LG V20, the G Stylo’s update remains on Marshmallow. This update too includes system stability improvements in addition to the e911 timer fix.
Make sure to download the update to your respective device as soon as it is available. Also ensure you have enough juice on your phone for the installation process to take place properly.
