Samsung has released the Galaxy S8 and S8+ smartphones recently and the company is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone later this month which will be the flagship Galaxy Note series smartphone from the company. However, the company has been releasing the latest updates to the smartphone which bring the latest Android update as well as the latest security patch to the devices. Also, the company has been pushing the US carriers to release the latest security patch updates to their devices. One of the US carriers, T-Mobile is now pushing out an update to the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge smartphone.
Talking further about the update, the OTA released by T-Mobile brings the latest security patch update to the above-mentioned device. This security patch is the July security patch which was released by Google in the beginning of the month of July. Talking about the July security patch, it is believed to be a major security patch which brings the fixes to security flaws that were present in the previous build of Android prior to the July security patch and the update to this security patch is highly recommended for your device for stability and security improvements.
As far as the rollout of the update is concerned, T-Mobile has already mentioned that the OTA has been rolled out to all the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge devices on their network and the OTA should be automatically received on all the concerned devices in the coming days. One thing to note is that the OTA update could be delayed due to various issues so you should wait for some days to get the update but once the update has been released and available for your device then you should install the update as quickly as possible to your phone.
