Samsung has been preparing to release the Galaxy Note 8 as their flagship Note series smartphone next month. Before that, the company already released the Galaxy Note 4 in 2014 which was marked a change in the design language from Samsung and the Galaxy Note 4 has been a huge hit in the Galaxy Note series from the company. The smartphone was launched on all the major US carriers which is expected from a Samsung flagship phone. Now, one of the carriers on which the Galaxy Note 4 was sold is rolling out an update. The Sprint network has sent out updates to the Galaxy Note 4 which brings the latest security patch to the 3 year smartphone.
As far as the update is concerned, we have already known that the latest update to the smartphone is the June security patch which was released last month. Now, the smartphones will get updated to the July security patch and the updates have been sent out as an OTA. Looking at the size of the update, the smartphone should have some improvements as well as bug fixes apart from the July security patch.
As far as the rollout of the update is concerned, you should receive an OTA on your smartphone via the carrier as the OTA has been rolled out as confirmed by Sprint. Do note that the update may take few days to come to your device but make sure that you have sufficient battery as well as you are connected to a WiFi network to download and install the update to your smartphone at the earliest as the update comes with the July security patch which is highly recommended to be installed on your phone.
