Sony has started to roll out the July security patch to the Sony Xperia X smartphone which was launched by the company recently. The smartphone has already received the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update in an earlier update and the smartphone is now getting the monthly security patch which was released by Google just less than a week ago. Also, apart from the July security patch, the update also comes with bug fixes as well as performance improvements. Also, as far as the smartphone is concerned, the Sony Xperia X was recently released by the company as the mid-range offering from Sony for this year.
Now, as far as the update is concerned, the update OTA is coming with the build number 34.3.A.0.206 and the update comes with the July security patch first and foremost. Also, the update should come with bug fixes to the bugs that were present in the last build to the phone which brought the June security patch update to the smartphone. Apart from that, we should expect the performance improvements to the smartphone as is the case with all the newer updates that come to the smartphone. Also, there may be other changes to the update that might come to the device but we cannot know for sure as typically the Sony smartphones that receive the update never have a changelog to indicate the changes to the phone after the update.
As far as the update’s rollout is concerned, the update is rolling on the single-SIM variant of the Xperia X which comes with the build number F5121 and the update will come to all the devices in the coming days as the company has rolled out the OTA update in a phased manner. However, make sure to install the update as quickly as possible to your Xperia X device.
