Redmi Note 5 gets MIUI 10.3.1 Stable update with Android 9 Pie reportedly. The new firmware update is only available in China for now but it will be rolled out soon globally. The update comes with so many features and bug fixes as well including Android Pie. As we all know that Android 9.0 Pie offers so many features and improvements than its previous generation.
Reports coming out that the update brings support for unlocking apps via face unlock. The album app now improved and adds photo text watermark feature as well. You can set a bunch of watermark texts and images. Xiao AI has been provided with this update and it activates via voice. The Game Mode is also improved now. Some other tool like a clock, calculator, weather, and the settings app now improved.
The MIUI 10.3.1 update for Redmi Note 5 is rolling out via batches. You have to wait for a few days more to receive the OTA update automatically. The update changelog screenshot isn’t available yet.

The Redmi Note 5 was launched back in February 2018 in India. The device comes with a 5.99-inch Full-HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by Snapdragon 625 SoC and coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage option. While the storage can be expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. It packs a 4,000mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 5 sports a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 lens and PDAF support. On the front side, a 5MP selfie camera also available. The handset was available at a starting price of Rs. 9,999 in India.
