OnePlus has recently made the OnePlus 5 official which is also the latest flagship smartphone from the company. OnePlus had launched the OnePlus 3/3T last year and the device was the best flagship phones for 2016 as acclaimed by many critics all around the world. The OnePlus 5 has also been praised in the time since it has launched but the smartphone has also been criticized for some of the problems which are present in the phone. One such problem which has been recently noticed is the jelly lag issue when the screen of the OnePlus 5 is scrolled.
The OnePlus 5 has a weird issue which came to light when one of the reviewers in the Android community recorded a video of the scrolling of the OnePlus 5. In the video, the OnePlus 5 user was scrolling through some text on the OnePlus 5 and the scroll was not as smooth as it usually is and the scroll also gave a jelly-like effect. This report was taken note of by OnePlus and the company released a statement saying that they were aware of the situation. However, the interesting thing which was given out by OnePlus in its response was that the company did not think that the jelly scroll was an issue and rather the company claimed it as normal.
Now, after the reports of many users facing the similar issues on their phones and possibly claiming a replacement for their phones, OnePlus has responded on its Twitter account claiming that the “the concerned team is working” on this issue and “an update will be released to fix this.”. However, do note that the response on Twitter has been deleted since then. Anyway, we hope that the OTA update from OnePlus fixes the issue which has been faced by certain users so that their experience on the phone can be better.
