OnePlus has recently launched the OnePlus 5 which is company’s latest flagship smartphone. The company launched the OnePlus 5 as a successor to the OnePlus 3/T which was launched last year. The OnePlus 5 has a dual camera setup as well as Snapdragon 835 processor. Now, the camera app from the OnePlus 5 has been made available for the OnePlus 3 and 3T. The OnePlus 5’s camera app was already available for download as an apk since its launch and the app was installed without any issues on the Samsung phones as well as phones from other manufacturers. However, there was a problem in installation of the app on the OnePlus devices as the package comes with the same name being from the same manufacturer.
Now, the camera app from the OnePlus 5 has been made available as a flashable zip file which can be installed on your OnePlus 3/T via any custom recovery. However, do note that TWRP recovery is recommended. Talking about the camera app on the OnePlus 5, the app has two new features which are different from the app on the OnePlus 3/T. On the OnePlus 5’s camera app, we can get a feature to blur the background which is called as the Portrait mode same as the iPhone 7+. Also, there is an option for 2x zoom on the camera app which zooms the subject up to 2 times its original distance. However, do note that the zoom feature, as well as the portrait mode, will work effectively only on the OnePlus 5 as the smartphone has a dual rear camera app which is not present on the OnePlus 3/T.
