Samsung has opened a Beta program for Galaxy Watch users in the United States. They can test new features before public release. The beta is also set to launch soon in South Korea, but participation will be limited to a select number of users in both regions later this month.

A beta program means you get an early look at new software. You may find bugs and send feedback to Samsung.

You need a Samsung account to join Beta. Make sure a profile is set up. Enrollment is free but slots fill fast.

The One UI 8 Watch Beta is available exclusively for newer Galaxy Watch models. The full list of eligible devices includes:

Eligible models

  • Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro
  • Galaxy Watch FE
  • Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic
  • Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra

This Beta runs on Wear OS (Google’s watch software) version 6.

  • Bedtime Guidance: Tool to track sleep routines
  • Vascular Load: Measure stress on blood vessels during sleep
  • Running Coach: Guide that helps plan running training
  • Antioxidant Index: Track carotenoid levels for aging info

It bring deeper health insight. You can view data in Galaxy Wearable app. These stats help you plan better.

  1. Open Samsung Members app on your phone
  2. Tap Beta banner at bottom of home page
  3. Find Watch 8 Beta poster and tap it
  4. Sign up for Beta program
  5. Open Galaxy Wearable app and update software to Beta

Rollout details

Beta opens to limited users in US and South Korea. Samsung did not share public release date. Beta software may have bugs so backup before install.
