Nokia has recently released the latest smartphones in its lineup which are the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and 6. Among the three smartphones, the Nokia 3 is aimed at the lower mid-range price segment and the smartphone has been sold at around Rs. 9000 in the Indian markets. Talking about the other two smartphones, the Nokia 5 and 6. They are aimed at mid-range price segment and the smartphones have been priced same as their competitors which are the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Moto G5. However, one thing that would set apart the Nokia phones from its competitors is the fact that the company has promised speedy updates to all of their smartphones.
Now, keeping up to its promise of delivering updates in time to their smartphones, the company has rolled out the August security patch update to the Nokia 5 and 6 smartphones. This update rollout is very interesting as the Redmi Note 4 and Moto G5 smartphones have not received them yet and the update has been rolled out at the same time as the Pixel and Nexus devices. Talking about the update, the size of the OTA comes at 120.2MB which is not very big in size as it contains only the August security patch.
However, the latest security patch from Google has been known to solve the many security flaws that were present in the previous builds that went unnoticed. Another thing to make sure is that you have been connected to a stable WiFi connection so that you can proceed with the download process as soon as it is available on your device. In case if you haven’t received a push notification, then head to Settings -> About Phone -> System Update. Do note that the security patch is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat only. Finally, install the update to your device as soon as possible to get the latest security patch update.
