A month after its announcement in the country, Nokia 5.1 Plus finally has its pricing and availability information outed by HMD Global. The device was unveiled in the country along with the hugely anticipated Nokia 6.1 Plus.
Just like the Nokia 6.1 Plus, the device is also an online-only device with availability limited to Flipkart and Nokia’s official mobile store.
HMD Global has been touting the Nokia 5.1 Plus as amid- range gaming phone owing to the Helio P60 SoC powering the device which is a powerful SoC for the lower- mid-range devices.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus, that has already been made available has seen an enthusiastic response in the country with the device going out of stock within minutes in every flash sale. It seems that the Nokia 5.1 Plus is also poised to meet the same fate. The devices share the same design language and come with Android One based Android OS, implying a clean version of Android with quick updates.
Nokia 5.1 Plus is now available for pre-orders along with 1st sale scheduled on the 1st of October for a price of Rs. 10,999.
It is available in Gloss Black and Gloss Midnight blue colors.
Nokia 5.1 Plus specifications
A 5.80-inch HD+ screen with a notch graces the front of the device in a 19:9 aspect ratio setup. The back is sculpted with a 2.5D curved glass panel on top of it carrying a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor also.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 SoC( 4x 1.8GHz Cortex- A53 and 4x 1.8GHz Cortex A73 cores combination).
It comes with 3GB of internal memory and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card, with support for up to 400GB storage expansion.
A 13MP f/2.0 regular lens and a 5MP depth sensor are housed at the back of the device in a vertical setup. At the front, there is an 8-MP camera which has an 80.4- degree wide- angle lens.
The smartphone comes with 3.5mm headphone jack and USB- Type C.
