Xiaomi is preparing to release the next version of its Android skin, MIUI. The MIUI 8 version was the latest version of MIUI until now but the company is preparing to launch its next version which will be called the MIUI 9. As far as the MIUI 9 is concerned, it is expected to be the biggest update that has been released from the company by far. The MIUI 9 is expected to have all the features of the Android 7.1 Nougat as well as some additional features as well. Apart from that, there have been rumors that the MIUI 9 will also have some features that are coming to Android with the Android O update.
Now, as far as the devices receiving the update to the MIUI 9 are concerned, there is a long list of devices that are officially getting the update. Now, we have some new devices which have been added to the list of the devices getting the MIUI 9 update. The latest addition to this list is the Xiaomi Mi 2/2S which has been released by the company earlier and the smartphones have been one of the first devices to be released in the Mi series from Xiaomi.
Talking about the list of the devices, the phones receiving the update in the Mi series are the Mi 6, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5s, Mi 5C, Mi 5, Mi 4S, Mi 4C, Mi 4, Mi 3, Mi 2s, Mi 2, Mi MIX, Mi Max 2, Mi Max, Mi Note 2, Mi Note Pro, Mi Note, Mi Pad 3, Mi Pad 2, and Mi Pad. Apart from that, the Redmi Note devices which are getting the update to MIUI 9 are Redmi Note 4X (MediaTek, Snapdragon editions), Note 4, Note 3, Note 2, Redmi Note and Redmi Pro. The Redmi devices in this list are the Redmi 4X, 4A and 4; Redmi 3S, 3X, Redmi 3, Redmi 2A and 2, Redmi 1S and Redmi 1 to add to the list.
