HTC has been launching the new smartphones in its mid-range and flagship lineup of smartphones every year and we saw that the HTC’s traditional lineup was changed last year as the company introduced its new HTC U series. Last year, we saw that HTC launched the U Ultra, U11 as well as U11+ which are now the flagship devices from HTC for 2017 where the HTC U11+ is the latest flagship smartphone in the HTC U series. Now, we are expecting HTC to release the latest lineup of smartphones in HTC U series for 2018 and the smartphone is expected to be named as the HTC U12 by the company.

As far as the leaks about the HTC U12 were concerned, there were no details about the upcoming smartphone from HTC until now. However, that has changed now as the popular Twitter handle @LlabTooFer known for developing ROMs for HTC devices has leaked almost all the specifications and details about the upcoming HTC U12 codenamed HTC Imagine. As far as the specifications are concerned, the HTC U12 will have a 5.99-inch display along with Quad HD+ resolution. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor and come with 6GB of RAM as well.
Apart from that, it is known that the smartphone will have a dual camera setup on the back, as well as HTC, will provide Full treble support on the device along with A/b partitions so that the updates can be available faster on the device. Also known is the fact that the device will be released with Android 8.0 Oreo along with HTC Sense UI on top. The HTC U12 will have face unlock technology named as HTC Face Unlock, IP68 water resistance and have a 3420 mAh battery as well.
