HTC has recently launched the HTC U 11 which is the latest flagship smartphone from the company. The HTC U 11 is also the successor to the HTC 10 which was released by the company last year. The HTC U 11 also goes in line with the HTC’s U series of smartphones which consist of HTC U Ultra. The HTC U 11 has been appreciated by the public for its performance and the phone is now receiving an update with improvements. The HTC U 11 update is sent out in Poland region for the time being with the release for other parts scheduled later.
The company has been known to send an update out in Poland to the HTC U 11. The update which is currently being seeded over-the-air (OTA) arrives with the software version 1.11.709.3. Although it doesn’t bring many changes with it except for the system enhancements, the update weighs around 440MB. So, we suggest you rather switch to a stable Wi-Fi network before downloading the update to avoid unnecessary data charges. Speaking of the changes the update brings along, you can find general bug fixes alongside stability, performance improvements, and system enhancements. HTC does mention that installing the update won’t delete any of the existing data on your HTC U11. We, however, recommend you to keep a backup handy should things go otherwise. Also, do note that installing the update should be done on the phone which has battery charge above 50%. Make sure that the phone has at least 20% battery left after the installation of the update on your HTC U 11.
Also, worry not, if you don’t see the update on your device right away. It generally takes a while for the update to reach all the handsets. If you want to check it manually, you can click on Settings > About Device > Software Updates on your device.
