HTC has recently launched the HTC U 11 which is the latest smartphone from the company in its recently launched HTC U series. Earlier, the company launched the HTC U Ultra which was the first smartphone from the HTC U series. HTC U Ultra was launched with the Snapdragon 821 processor, a 5.7-inch QHD display protected by Sapphire glass, Android Nougat, 4GB of RAM and 64/128GB memory. However, the HTC had a premium design and impressive specifications but the U Ultra was criticized by the fans for coming with last year’s specifications in a phone launched in 2017. The HTC U Ultra has not been up to the mark where HTC wanted the phone to be but the company has been giving the updates to the phone on a regular basis.
HTC U Ultra is currently receiving a new software update. The new update bearing version number 1.62.708.1 is rolling out as an OTA update. The update, which weighs 595MB brings many system enhancements and improvements. Besides that, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect stability improvements from the update.
As far as every update is concerned, it is advisable to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and since the update weighs around 595MB, make sure you have enough free storage. Further, keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent. Also do note that as the update is big in size at almost 600 MB so it may happen that your data connection may incur changes so a WiFi availability is must. Also if you haven’t received the update yet and want to get it as soon as possible, you can check for it manually via the device settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates and update your device if its available.
