HTC has recently launched the HTC U Ultra and the HTC U 11 smartphones which are the company’s flagship smartphones for this year. The HTC U Ultra has not had a start that the company would have wanted and the device has failed to impress the public. The HTC U 11 however has had a good start and the device is doing well in the markets. HTC also launched the HTC 10 last year which was also quite a serious competitor to the devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Google Pixel. Now, the HTC 10 is receiving an update in Germany via an OTA update. The HTC 10 is currently receiving a new firmware update which comes in regards to the O2 users in Germany.
The new update is being currently pushed over-the-air (OTA) and arrives with the software version 2.48.206.3. The changelog says nothing but “system optimization.” So, expect certain bug fixes alongside improvements in the performance.
There is nothing more to the update then just the version number change and the changelog which says that the device will receive some improvements after the update. However, we have seen that the update has been able to smoothen the overall experience of the device. As the update is being pushed OTA, it could take a while for the update to reach your handset. Just in case you can’t wait to install the update, there’s an alternative way through which you can check for the update manually. All you have to do is to head straight to the Settings > About Device > System updates and check for the update.
Make sure that you charge your phone properly before initiating the update and also ensure that the battery percentage on your HTC 10 is above 50%. Also make sure to download the update to your phone as soon as possible as it comes with some bug fixes.
