HTC 10 Gets 2.50.617.2 OTA Update In USA With June Security Patch

HTC has started rolling out another update for HTC 10 in the USA.The Update comes with latest June Security Patch and version number 2.50.617.2.This time the update comes for unlocked variants.HTC is not good at pushing out new security updates and it’s really nice to see that they are releasing the latest update with some fixes.

The latest HTC 10 July update is currently live in the USA and available via OTA (Over-the-air).Some bug fixes are included and comes with the latest Google’s June security patch and version number 2.50.617.2.


If you are from the USA, you can manually check for the update from settings.To manually check, Go To Settings > About Phone/Device > (Software Update) Check For Updates.The Update is rolling in phased manner so it may take few days to available in every corner.We recommend users to connect to a good Wi-Fi network before downloading the update and keep your handset charged as high as 50-60 percent.

The latest HTC 10 July Update weighs around 277.74 MB.It comes with fixes for various security vulnerabilities and system bugs.The Update also brings stability and performance improvements.

    Eu or Asia version of HTC 10 still on 1st of Jan 2017 security.
    Shame on HTC, not any HTC anymore!!

  2. “HTC is not good at pushing out new security updates” I don’t understand? I have had an update for my HTC 10 (developer edition) every month since I got it. Here you have an article stating July 13th that the June updates are available for HTC… This has been typical, I got my May updates in mid June, and my April updates in mid May. etc… I think you might be confusing HTC with the carriers. Buy the developer edition straight from HTC and you’ll get timely updates for at least 3 years. Buy the carrier models and you’re at the carrier’s mercy. If you have a complaint about HTC is should be the fact that they push, what I consider, advertisements with no way to turn them off.
