Samsung is busy rolling out Nougat update to its devices. Just a little time ago we reported that the Samsung Galaxy A5 2016 is receiving the Nougat update in select regions. And here we are with another Nougat update news. This time, it’s the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) Wi-Fi + LTE variant with the model number T585. This tablet is now receiving the update from the company with the Android 7.0 Nougat update released last year. The updating is arriving with the software version T585XXU2BQE4. It is currently being pushed over the air and considering the fact that it is a major upgrade expect it to be large in size.
The Android 7.0 update brings several new features to the smartphone which include the much-talked-about multi-window split-screen mode, improved Doze mode, revamped Quick Settings and Settings menu, and updated notification shade. As reported earlier, the Nougat update for the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) Wi-Fi (model number T580) and Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) Wi-Fi + LTE with S Pen (model number P585) has already been rolled out last month.
Now with every new update and that too an update which bumps up the Android version from Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to Android 7.1.1 Nougat, it is always advisable that you should do a clean install of the update on your smartphone by wiping the data as well as other stuff on your phone.
It is advisable to connect to a good Wifi network before downloading the update and since the update weighs around 1.3GB, make sure you have enough free storage. Further, keep your handset charged as high as 50 percent.
If you haven’t received the update yet, you can check for it manually via the Settings. Go to Settings – About – Software updates. Also make sure that you have properly installed the update by checking the version number after the update on your phone.
