Samsung has recently released the flagship smartphones from the company which are the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. The Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphones are also the successors to last year’s Galaxy S7 series. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has been a huge success for the company after the Note 7 debacle from the company last year. The Samsung Galaxy S8 lineup has been known for its unique design consisting of infinity display. Now, the company has released the latest security patch from Google, the June security patch. It is also worth noting that Samsung has already released the June security patch to the smartphones but the phones on the AT&T network were left out.
Now, the US carrier, AT&T is rolling out the June security patch to the S8 & S8+ on its network as well. The update arrives with the software version which is displayed as G950USQS1AQF7 and G955USQS1AQF7 for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively and installs the June security patch on the handsets. The update is coming in at 130+ MB and the update should not be having much features apart from the June security patch. However, do note that there are some bug fixes as well as performance improvements along with the update.
Also, as far as the update is concerned, the carrier has rolled out the update as an OTA and the update should arrive on your phone in the coming days. However, if you have still not received the update on your phone then head over to your device’s settings and check for the update manually and download the update on your phone if the update is available. Also, we always recommend to download the update on a WiFi network as it ensures that the update will be downloaded correctly so that there should not be any errors in the installation process.
