AT&T has released a new update to the Galaxy S6 as well as the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones on its network. As far as the smartphones are concerned, the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge had been launched by the company in 2015 as their flagship smartphones and the smartphones have also been the first smartphones from Samsung which brought a new glass and metal design. As far as the update is concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge have already received the latest security patch update from Samsung. Now, the AT&T network is also rolling out an update to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones on its network.
Talking about the update, both the smartphones receiving the security patch update is the latest July security patch. As far as the update builds are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is receiving the update with build number G920AUCS6EQG1 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is getting the update with build number G925AUCS6EQG1. Both of these updates are rolling out on the AT&T network and the update is not very big in size as the OTA has a size of only 22MB. As far as the changes are concerned, the update brings the July security patch update to both the devices as well as there should be some performance and stability improvements with the update.
Talking about the rollout of the update, the carrier AT&T has already sent the update OTAs to the concerned devices and the update should reach your device in the coming days.
