Asus has recently rolled out many new smartphones in its Zenfone 3 series including the Zenfone 3 laser. The Zenfone 3 laser is also the successor to the last year’s Zenfone 2 laser. Now, the Zenfone 2 Laser from Asus is getting a new update to their device which fixes several bugs that were present in the previous build. To recall, the Zenfone 2 Laser was launched last year and the smartphone has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and it comes with 2GB of RAM. The screen size on the smartphone is 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels. The smartphone has been priced in India for Rs. 10,590.
Talking about the update, the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser is receiving the update with version V21.40.1220.2153 and brings with it a host of changes to the smartphone. Talking about the changes, the smartphone’s first bug fix lets you increase/decrease volume when using the Line app in handsfree mode. Then there’s a fix for the volume burst issue while playing music. Also, the Bluetooth performance has been improved and the GMS APK has received an update and the there is the inclusion of the Android security patch as well which is known to be the latest June security patch.
Talking about the update to the phones, Asus has already announced that the OTA update for the Asus Zenfone 2 has been already released for all the smartphones from the company and the OTA should reach all the Zenfone 2 Laser devices in the coming days. However, the rollout is a staged one so it may take time for the OTA to come to your device so you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > About > System Update to check for the update. If the update is available for your phone, make sure to download and install it as soon as possible.
