The Xiaomi Mi Play device officially announced in China on December 24. The handset was revealed by the company on Weibo website in China. The tagline of this device was “New mobile phone, released on December 24, Xiaomi Play comes with traffic, maybe the Christmas gift you want most.” The ‘Play’ name indicates the entertainment and gaming category device. However, some of the reports mentioned that this one will be the rebranded version of Xiaomi Poco F1. The Mi Play will launch in India on February 7 this year. The Mi Play is the first Xiaomi device to come with a water-drop notch display. It’s powered by a 2.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC along with a 4GB of RAM. The display is Quad HD 5.84-inch IPS LCD panel, featuring 1080×2280 pixels resolution. The Mi Play packs a dual 12MP+2MP rear shooters and front includes a single 8MP selfie camera.
