Huawei sub-brand Honor teased a poster recently of a camera slider phone called Honor Magic 2. The device initially looks like same as Oppo Find X handset in terms of the device overall shape and the motorized front camera slider. According to the invitation image, the Honor Magic 2 will launch on October 26 in China. Moreover, this will be the first ever Android smartphone which will come with Huawei’s 7nm process based powerful Kirin 980 HIAI chipset. The Kirin 980 SoC is the most powerful and advanced chipset with dedicated NPU and GPU Turbo system which can perform way better than the current flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC.

The Honor Magic 2 will also come with the in-display fingerprint scanner which is already seen in Vivo NEX, Oppo Find X, and Xiaomi Mi 8 devices earlier. The previous report was claimed that the device could sport the FullView bezel-less display with almost above 95% of screen-to-body ratio. If this is real then it will also be a breakthrough in the Android flagship industry for the first time.
Honor Magic 2 Specifications and Features Overview
The Honor Magic 2 will come with a 6-inch AMOLED FHD+ display with a resolution of 1440×2880 pixels. The device will be powered by the Kirin 980 SoC along with 6GB of RAM and the storage could be 128GB/256GB possibly. The handset will feature the in-display fingerprint sensor and the camera slider module for the front camera. While the rear will sport a dual back camera. There is no confirmation about the battery capacity. However, we can expect a bigger 4,000mAh battery in it with the Huawei Super Charge (40W fast charging) technology.
Meanwhile, this one will be the first Honor flagship device in its segment. Huawei is also preparing for the launch of their another flagship device Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro on October 16 this year. The Huawei Mate 20 will also come with the triple AI rear camera with square type setup. This one will also be powered by Kirin 980 chipset. So the other brands could face serious flagship competition this year. Till then we have to wait for more information.
