Earlier today, we reported that the Motorola Moto 6 Plus may come with a Snapdragon 660 on board. That was something unexpected as Moto usually opts to go with more power efficient chipsets and thus a Snapdragon 430 was expected. Now, it seems like the more efficient Snapdragon 430 SoC will make it’s way into the Moto E5 Plus.
The Moto E line of smartphones have been the ultra-budget offerings from the company. The original Moto E re-defined the budget segment and at that time brought a lot for the price.
As observed from GeekBench, the chipset listed as msm8937, which is the Snapdragon 430 is seen powering the device. The Moto E5 Plus is expected to pack an 18:9 panel with minimal bezels. The phone will bring 3GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board storage. Interestingly, a fingerprint scanner is expected to be embedded into the Moto logo which will be situated at the back.
Battery information is not known and the E5 Plus will run on Android 8.0 Oreo. Speaking of software, the UI will be light weight and close to stock Android. Therefore inspite of sporting less powerful internals, we can expect minimal lag and decent performance.
