Samsung released the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus smartphones last week at the MWC 2018 which is currently ongoing in Barcelona. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are the latest flagship smartphones from Samsung in the Galaxy S series which saw the launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus last year. However, Samsung also launched the flagship smartphone from the company in the Galaxy A series earlier this year which has been named as the Galaxy A8 2018. The Galaxy A8 2018 is the successor to Galaxy A8 2017 and is the premium smartphone of the Galaxy A lineup from Samsung.
As far as Galaxy A8 2018 is concerned, it comes with a metal and glass construction and a design that is very similar to the Galaxy S9. Also, this smartphone comes with an infinity display on the front as well which was not present on the Galaxy A8 2017. Now, we have also seen that the Galaxy A8 2018 got the January 2018 security patch last month and now, it is time for the device to get the February security patch update, even though being almost at the end of February. Now, we have received the news that the February 2018 security patch has been rolled out to the Galaxy A8 2018 officially by Samsung.

As far as the update is concerned, the updates arrive with build number A530FXXU2ARB6 and A730FXXU2ARB6 respectively for the Galaxy A8 2018 and the Galaxy A8+ 2018. Apart from the February security patch, the also brings improvements to calls, Bluetooth, camera, and Wi-Fi among other stability improvements as well. Do note that the Galaxy A8 and A8+ 2018 are still running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and the update to Android 8.0 Oreo for these devices is in the works by Samsung which should be released very soon by the company.
