The Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ are highly anticipated smartphones of 2018. The Samsung Galaxy S8 brought the bezel-less trend in 2017 and hence the hopes are high for it’s successor. It is worthy to note that Samsung has sent out press invites for it’s event on 25th February.
Popular tipster Evan Blass has leaked out the press images of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the S9+. Even though we already know the specifications, this leak provides the much needed confirmation.
The report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy S9 will sport a 5.8-inch display while the S9 plus will include a 6.2-inch display. Both of them will sport Super AMOLED technology with Quad HD+ resolution. The infinity display is set to get a slight improvement with a higher screen-to-body ratio.
As for specs, the smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC in the US and the Exynos 9810 globally. While the Galaxy S9 receive 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard-storage, the S9+ is expected to come with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Both the handsets will include stereo speakers and the fingerprint scanner will be moved to a more practical location.
The major improvement that is slated to come to the handsets will be the cameras. To recollect, the teaser contained the terms “Camera re-imagined”. As per several leaks and rumours, the Galaxy smartphones will feature a camera lens with variable aperture, which will manually change between f/1.5 and f/2.4 whenever needed. It is also worthy to note that the S9 will only come with one camera on the rear while the S9+ will feature a couple of them.
